Why I chose this EPQ project

Hi I am Bertram Smith and I created this website. I decided to conduct an interview with my grandfather, Ronald Healey, because 3 years ago he set himself the challenge of finding more about our family tree and rich heritage on my mother’s side. Admittedly, I hadn’t spent much time thinking about my ancestors until he discussed with me about what he’d found out, which immediately drew my attention. Furthermore, as I had not thought of my EPQ question yet I decided it would be a good opportunity to do more research with him and present it in my own personal project. I discovered in my initial research that I was related to William Conqueror who was the first Norman King of England and was the victor of the famous, battle of Hastings in 1066. 

Another reason I have chosen this question is because I would like to upskill myself in computing as computers are used more and more in everyday life. In particular research how technology can be used in a user friendly way. Despite not having accessibility issues myself i feel like it is important to consider the needs that people might have, such as visual difficulties.  As well as develop useful skills in researching and recalling information.
